Why is the banana diet so good at aiding weight loss?

The rules of the morning banana diet are simple. Eat a banana or two with a glass of room temperature water for breakfast. Have lunch as normal, enjoy an afternoon snack if you wish, eat dinner without dessert before 8pm, and continue to drink water throughout the day. So you are in fact only required to eat one banana at the start of the day which begs the question: why is the banana diet so good at aiding weight loss. There are several theories to explain it. The pharmacist, Sumiko Watanabe, who invented this simple diet wanted to help increase the metabolism of her husband, Hitoshi, whose weight had ballooned after leaving university and starting a new job and bananas it seemed held the key.

Bananas are packed with enzymes that boost digestion. Therefore you will digest your food quicker which in turn increases your metabolism aiding weight loss.

Bananas are a rich source of resistant starch, which is thought to leave you feeling satisfied. As a result you will feel less inclined to overeat at meal times. The resistant starch increases the body's fat-burning capacity also.

Bananas eaten whilst sipping room temperature water improves bowel movements.
Eating your dinner before 8pm and only having one snack allows your digestive process to finish before bedtime.

As well as aiding weight loss, bananas are also packed full of protein, minerals and vitamins. Plus they are high in carbohydrates and will therefore boost your energy levels. It's wonderful to think that a banana or any fruit can do so much for your health and well being. There is another super fruit, that you may not have heard of. It's called mangosteen and its a rare tangerine-sized fruit from southeast Asia. Mangosteen has been known for its health promoting effects for hundreds of years in south east Asian countries. Mangosteen, as well as helping with many different conditions from high blood pressure to bad breath, helps lower body fat by balancing cortisol which can stimulate fat deposits in various parts of the body.

But how can I get my hands on this mangosteen fruit? Well there is a liquid ready-to-drink diet supplement called Vemma which contains vitamins, minerals and mangosteen fruit, and other ingredients such as green tea and aloe vera. My sister swears by it, especially as it helps to lessen the frequency of her migraines. She also tells me that it boosts her energy and increases her stamina which means she works twice as hard down the gym!

So it seems the banana diet in combination with a daily dose of the diet supplement, Vemma, will aid weight loss as well as give you energy and all the nutrients you need to help you achieve optimal health and well being. Wow! I know I'm convinced.
